Now that football is here and Cam Newton was let go by the Pats it made me think

I was wondering what people think the best individual year for a player(all things considered stats and winning) was It doesn't have to be a QB either. It can be any player
We saw Burrows and Jones put up two of the biggest and best numbers and win titles last two years
But for me really Cam Newton winning the title with Auburn and being more responsible individually with his play both stats and clutch play finding ways to win was probably the most impressive college year I have seen from a player

I know plenty will go back to the 70s, 80s and 90s for some real interesting guys
Interested to hear what people think

*Thanks to ESPN declaring Sanders' season the best ever, I tracked down the missing carry that was in this column for 7 years. Now this column finally adds up correctly.

I remember the Holiday Bowl very well. I liked Ok St, and I had a tout. He picked Wyoming, I asked why. He said because they're much better on defense. Wyoming was like the worst team in the country on defense, LOL.

I played Ok St, that was the last game I ever paid for. It took 2vor 3 years, but I learned they're fucking frauds
